The team's conclusion
The visitation
team saw obvious relief and pleasure in both congregations that they again had
a minister and a future. A sense of a new start was observed in both parishes,
although some minor adjustments were thought likely to continue until a programme
of worship services and a balance of the minister's workload is established.
There
were deemed to be sufficient office-bearers representative of the congregation;
an active social life was seen with a number of activities being held throughout
the year. Our active approach to visiting and recruiting new mwmbers was
noted. The team also commented that considerable thought and planning had
been given to the pattern of worship within the churches and observed great
joy that numbers of worshippers had picked up and new life was emerging following
the adoption of a new pattern of weekly worship.
